In case you did not get a chance to read my "About Me" post, here is a little info to fill you in!

My name is Maggie Blustein, I am 22 years old, newly married and a follower of Christ. I love to sing, eat, bake, laugh and shop! I am a coffee and Gilmore Girls addict (Oye with the poodles already!) Typical girl things. Daisies are my favourite flower. I love the look of them, the smell and the simplicity of them. Another key part of me is I am a type A personality. So lists, stress, worry, anger and control come very naturally to me. Things have to be perfect, they have to be my way, it has to be done right. Or does it?
My dream is to be like a daisy, hence the name Daisy Dreamer! I want to be free, simple and beautiful inside and out. I do not want to spend my days worrying about my future or stressing because something didn't get done right.

Luke 12:27-28 says:
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!"

I believe that in this verse Jesus is telling us to breathe, take a chill pill and step back. Look at all the flowers and fields of grass. God takes care of them even though they do nothing. Imagine how much more he would do for US, His beloved children, if we would just let go and trust in Him. The flowers and fields do not stress or worry about the future. So why should I? Why should we?
So that is my dream! To become more like a daisy. To let stress, worrying, control and anger become characteristics of my past and to become who I was meant to be as a daughter of the most High King. To live each day to the fullest not letting the mystery of tomorrow or the pain of the past hold me back. I hope that through this blog we can join together to celebrate the little things in life, talk about the hard times and grow stronger each day in who we were designed to be. Let's be daisy dreamers together.
