Creativity is experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun.
Welcome back friends! I can't believe it's already Monday. The days and weeks are going so fast this summer! So with another week comes another blog post! This week I just wanted to share about some new things I got into last week and loved.
Creativity! I never considered myself artsy. I always loved to paint, draw and create but was never THAT good. But the idea of creating something new is pretty fun! So this week when I was journaling I started doodling. I started writing words in pretty calligraphy because that's the new trend and I think it is SO gorgeous. But doesn't writing words sound boring? No way! It was so fun! I couldn't stop once I got the hang of it. I was up for like an hour just drawing and letting myself be free! Letting myself be creative! I found it (and still do obvs) so fun and relaxing and I feel accomplished when I'm done!

Now I'm not a complete pro. I usually just look up pictures on Pinterest and try to copy them (thanks Pinterest) But seriously it's a lot of fun! If you haven't tried doodling or writing or even journaling try it! Just let yourself go and see what happens!
I also did some water color paintings this week. I've had 2 canvases in my room for the past year basically, so I finally decided that now was the time to paint on them! I got some cheap watercolor set from the dollar store, looked up some pictures on Pinterest and went for it! Again it was so relaxing and fun to just paint. To do something for fun and something for myself! I know I'm not the best but I actually was so impressed that I managed to create 2 pretty paintings!

Maybe journaling, drawing, writing calligraphy or painting is not your thing but that's okay! I encourage you all to be a little creative this week. Set some time away for you to be you and let your creative juices flow! Write a song, paint, pick some flowers, go for a walk, write out your thoughts or whatever you consider being "creative" is! I think you'll be surprised with what you create and how happy you feel afterwards. Enjoy the sun this week friends and feel accomplished with your creativity creations!

XOXO
